| Cheshire Watch Company, 1883-1890 Cheshire, Connecticut. These watches were stamped and machined in order to make a jeweled watch at a low cost. First movements were open face, gilt and 3/4 plate with an attached stem. Later standard 18s movements were made in both hunting and open face. Equipment was bought by O. E. Bell in 1901 and shipped to Appleton, Wisconsin to form the Remington Watch Co. |
