But a 21J Crescent St. with a similar conversion dial only brought $227 on eBay last December.

important question--do the members think these dials were made at the time of the movement or at a later date to move out HC mov'ts???

In the case of Hamilton, I believe these type of conversion dials were made to help sell slow moving hunting case movements. I would have to think that the reason might be the same for Waltham.

I have always found these type of dials to be quite interesting, especially the 92 model Waltham examples with the Grade and Jewel counts at 9 o'clock.
