Default Rockford

another local flea market find, a Rockford Watch Co. shipping container in excellent conditon. Marked 16 size 17 Jewels No 572 and stamped No. 844679 Hunting Pendent Set. Are there any WH members who collect these containers?

Wayne - can you please double-check the jewelling data on the tin? Grade 572's are listed as 17j. I can't imagine Rockford down-jeweling this grade, or if it's a typo, or whatever...

Thanks!

Like John said, 572's are 16S-17J (per the Catalog).

Actually the photo does look like a "17" not an "11".

Had me scratching for a minute Wayne.

It its an "11", then I am still scratching

Yes Tins like this are great for the serial numbers that do not appear with the grades. This tin verifies that the serial number in this range is a 572.

Changing my database right now Wayne.

I must be wearing my dope hat. Unless it's something in the Rockford discussions on the 149 board, I'm drawing a blank.
