John Arnold & Son 1762-1843 Watch & Clockmakers

John Arnold b 1735 d. 1799 John Roger Arnold b. 1769 d. 1843

1764 John Arnold presents a 1/2 1/4 repeating watch mounted in
a ring to King George III

1769 John Arnold presents a second repeating watch in a ring,with
ruby cylinder to King George III. In the same year John Arnold
makes his first marine chronometer.

1772-74 John Arnold makes his first pocket & marine chronometer
with a pivoted detent.

1775 Patent for helical spring

1778 -1787 Various balances- double T, double S, OZ & others

1799 John Arnold dies and his son continued the business.

1830-40 John Roger Arnold joins E.J. Dent inpartnership.

1843 John Roger Arnold dies.

The father & son made many watches, chronometers and clocks
during their lifetime.
